When March happens to lend a hand with 70 degree weather and the fish decided there hungry it makes for a special time of the year! April seems to be shaping up to be great as well even with the chance of lingering snow flakes that we face with a early spring. Even the bugs that are making the fish happy to eat must being enjoying the warmer temps as we are seeing Blue Wing Olives, nymphs’ and caddis. Big trout this year seem to be on the menu as most anglers are reporting and catching much larger fish than normal with the occasional 19 inch plus one on the line!

The biking trails here in Stevens Point on the Green Circle Trail or even the Ice Age Trail as you head to the east of Point towards Amherst, are in great shape as the normal snow¬† run off where large muddy puddles and sandy soil for traction really doesn’t exist this year.

Kayaking on major water ways are open and even allow for up close and personal with some of the local wildlife. The little Plover River in Iverson Park is a great place to launch your water craft to explore the area on a nice spring day as well!

The Downtown area has been really heating up as well with new developments, new and old shops operating and with the return of the Saturday’s Farmers Market which draws thousands people¬† with multiple vendors will be open the first Saturday of May. Nightly entertainment on the square and individual performances in the barsand eatery’s seem to be returning with per cautions at hand.

There are a lot of things going on here in Stevens Point and Central Wisconsin and because of the awesome gift from Mother Nature, us outdoor enthusiast can take to our favorite adventure now to enjoy this great state we all live, play and stay in!

Thank you all for coming to see us and if your in the area stop and down and say hi!
