Water temps 48-54 area wide. Water levels are low and clear. Fish are spooky but super happy to eat. With the water temps climbing into the 50’s the caddis are starting to make their emergence. Seeing varying sizes on the stream. Anything from size 14-18. With the majority of bugs on the smaller size. Midge and olives are still around. With the latest heat wave they may become less important and the fish will key in on the caddis more. Underneath the surface, fish your buggy bodied nymphs. Pink squirrels, caddis pupas, hares ears, sizes 16s and 14s. If they’re being fussy your size 14-16 PTs will fill the bill nicely. Fish are still really excited about streamers and leeches too. Fish them where you can find some shade. With this weeks forecast for rains the systems will get a good charge. It’s gonna be a great season. Get out and fish! Guide Jerry
